How to get there from Barcelona

There are a variety of ways to reach the incredible Costa Brava. Firstly, travelling by car from Barcelona takes around an hour; during this journey, you can drive through idyllic towns and places.

Public transport is also readily available; Renfe trains are the most convenient option, as you will arrive in Girona in only about 40 minutes. You can buy your train tickets online, at the station or by using your metro card. Or if you prefer buses, the journey is slightly longer, about 1 and a half hours.

Being based in the region, we are lucky to enjoy frequent weekends and staycations in Bangkok. Every now and then, the Maldives calls my name — and this time, it led me to Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa, a stunning retreat tucked away in the Lhaviyani Atoll.
